Lorena Vidaurre, Ph.D.

Founder and CEO of CBP

Lorena Vidaurre, Ph.D.

Lorena has worked with hundreds of parents, educators, college students, and young children for over 25 years.

Lorena felt God expand her vision to reach families around the globe – leading her to found Castle Blossom Press. Her hope is that these resources will equip and empower parents and teachers around the world – so together, we can raise a new generation of multilingual, well-educated godly leaders.

Lorena has a deep and unwavering love for children. Her life mission is to ignite a love for Jesus in children, and then build a nurturing, loving environment for them to thrive in. Throughout her life, she has worked to give high-quality biblically-centered education to all children.

Lorena emigrated to the United States from Ecuador at age 5. Her early years were filled with anxiety, anguish, and difficulty. Despite hardship, Lorena was a first-generation college graduate. Her difficult childhood inspired her to reach other families like hers.

Lorena spent the first 13 years of her career teaching Kindergarten students in California – but she didn’t stop there. She received her Early Childhood Education Master’s Degree from California State University and a K-12  bilingual and cross-cultural teaching credential that includes a parent education authorization.

She spent the next 6 years as a Parent Educator for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Everywhere she went, she was developing and revising programs to be more effective.

After completing her Ph.D. in Intercultural Education at Biola University, Lorena was unstoppable. She became the curriculum writer and founding professor of four different degree programs at Biola University – each one focused on different aspects of child development and learning.

Her work was so successful she went on to develop the Spanish program for the Early Childhood Dual Language Curriculum that was published by Frog Street Press.

Outside of business hours, Lorena is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She has been married for over 38 years to the same person. She and her husband were blessed with two children who are adults now and have their own children. As an addition to their family, they also have a fur baby named Chloe.

Lorena loves working out. CrossFit, mountain biking, tennis and Zumba are some of the favorite ways to do so. She also spends a lot of time in her local church and listening to worship music. If you couldn’t tell already, she loves Jesus!
